Oye Roberto

Desde hace mas de un mes que estuvimos planeando
la celebración para Robert en honor a su vida.
Como docientas cincuenta personas vinieron,
mas de una docena de restaurantes donaron comida, vino y café,
y, por supuesto, chocolate en cantidad.
hicimos un slide-show con fotos de él y sus amigos,
preparamos unos recuerditos bellos con una receta de brownie
atada a una cuchara de palo.
La celebración quedó espectacular.
Trabajar con otros de sus amigos, un honor.
Aquí abajo les adjunto una canción que le canté a Robert,
el doctor-chef que influyó tanto en mi vida
y en la de mi familia.

For more than a month we planned this event
celebrating Robert's life.
About two hundred and fifty people attended
more than a dozen of restaurants donated food, wine and coffee
and, of course, plenty of chocolate.
We put on a slide show with pictures of him and his friends,
we made beautiful mementos with a brownie recipe
tied to a wooden spoon.
The celebration was spectacular!
Working with his friends, an honor.

Primer Mes - First Month

Mi jardín está mas que bello: exhuberante.
Aún cuando no tengo fotos de hoy, tengo las de hace tres semanas.
(La cámara está en China con Skylr, si Dios quiere, retratando a Skylr en su pelea allá)
Tengo rábanos, aurúgula, remolacha, zanahorias, espinacas y guisantes.
Todos creciendo con fortaleza en mi terruño
bajo un sol y lluvia ocasional que nos brinda las mejores condiciones.
El clima ha estado ¡delicioso!

My farm is growing more than beautiful, exhuberant.
Although I have no pictures of today I have ones of 3 weeks ago.
(The camera is in China with Skylr recording, hopefully, his fight there)
I have radishes, aurugula, beets, carrots, spinach, and fava beans.
They are all growing strong in my piece of land
under a sun and a occasional rain that has provided the best of conditions.
The weather has been delicious!
